The Norfolk Virginian Pilot April 26, 1940
John R. Forbes, aged 42, son of Benjamin and Mrs. Elizabeth Pritchard Forbes, 
and a native of South Mills, N.C., died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon 
at 6 o'clock after a long illness.  The body was removed to the Ewell & 
Williamson Funeral Home, Thirty-fifth street, at Colonial avenue, pending 
funeral arrangements.
