The Virginian Pilot Thursday February 15, 1962
Mrs. Janie Sparrow Forbes, former resident of Norfolk and for more than 40 
years a resident of Buffalo, N.Y., died Sunday night in a hospital there.
She was the wife of Myron E. Forbes and a daughter of the late Wilson 
Grimstead and Mrs. Mary H. Griggs.
She was a member of Richmond Avenue Methodist Church of Buffalo.
Besides her husband, surviving are two daughters, a sister, and several 
grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted in Buffalo Tuesday.
The body was sent to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, where the family will 
meet.  A funeral service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery today at 2 p.m. by 
the Rev. Dr. Fred Williams of First Methodist Church.
