Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday November 29, 1946
Mrs. Martha Lavenia Forbes, 93 (86), died at her home 305 East Berkley Avenue, 
last night at 7:20 o'clock after an illness of three months.  She was a native 
of Currituck County, North Carolina and had made her home in this section 55 
years.
She was a daughter of the late Dennis and Bettie Ann Flora and wife of the 
late Mac Forbes.  Surviving are six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  
The body was taken to the Sykes Funeral Home where funeral services will be 
conducted tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
