Forbes yesterday breathed his last. His young wife, Mrs. Gertrude McHorney Forbes, is seriously ill; in view of which the funeral services will take place today at 2:30 o'clock at the residence, will be private. Rev. A.L. Franklin, of Brambleton Avenue M.E. Church, and Rev. H.S. Davis, of McKendree Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Forbes had been ill less than a week. He was 31 years old. Besides his wife, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Forbes, two sisters, Mrs. W.B. Gregory and Mrs. W.A. Tunstall, all of this city, and a brother, J.W. Forbes, of Washington, D.C.
