Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 23, 1948

William David Forbes, 73, husband of Mattie Bradley Forbes, died at a Norfolk 
hospital yesterday at 10:45 a.m. after a long illness.  Besides his wife, he is 
survived by three half sisters, Mrs. E.H. Barnes, Mrs. J.H. Garrett and Mrs. 
E.W. Butler.
Mr. Forbes was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of 
Norview for 30 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
