Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, May 28, 1998 
Elizabeth Spruell Forbes of the 7000 block of Auburn Avenue died May 26, 1998 at
a local nursing home.

A Norfolk native, she retired as a sterile processor from Sentara Leigh Memorial
Hospital after 27 years of service. She was a member of Basilica of St. Mary of
the Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors include a foster daughter, Shirley Parham; a niece, Linda Cooke; and
great-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Sereptia Holley Baker.

A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Basilica of St. Mary of the
Immaculate Conception Church by Msgr. Walter Barrett. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . The family and friends will assemble at Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk,
at 8:15 a.m. Saturday.
