NORFOLK - Mrs. Donnie Bowers Forby, 86, of 106 E. 28th St. died Wednesday in her 
home after a long illness.

She was a daughter of Andy and Mrs. Lucy Bowers and the widow of Green Forby. A 
native of Greenville, Tenn., she lived in Norfolk 50 years.

She was a member of A.M.E. Methodist Church and a Sunday school teacher.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Stella Payne, one granddaughter, two great-
grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be 
conducted today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. H.T. Myers, pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist 
Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
