Norfolk - Mrs. Hortense Ford of 604 Washington avenue died recently in a 
hospital.  A native of Durham, NC, she was a daughter of Elem and Mrs. Corrine 
Hannon and the widow of Julius Ford.  She was a member of St. John Church, Rose 
of Sharon Lodge of Buffaloes, and American War Mothers.

She is survived by a son, George Hannon, and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Gallop, both 
of Norfolk;  three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Graves Funeral Home.
