Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch
Ethel Ford, a young white woman, living in the house of Rosa Hall, No. 118 Church 
street, died there this morning at 4:10 o'clock. When the woman was taken ill, Dr. 
Brown was summoned, but she was beyond medical aid when he arrived and the 
physician said that death was due to alcoholism.
