D. FORD DIES IN SOUTH NORFOLK Was Once Postmaster Of Buffalo, New York Rensselaer D. Ford, who came to this section a few months ago from Buffalo, N.Y., died yesterday morning at 3 o'clock, at his home in South Norfolk Heights, after a brief illness. Mr. Ford was 85 years old and was a native of Chatham county, N.Y. and had been living here only two years. He is survived by two sons, William W. and Raymond W. Ford of South Norfolk , a brother, A.S. Ford of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. O. P. Dickie, of Buffalo. The deceased was postmaster of Buffalo seven years, one of the city controllers twelve years, four years city clerk and an officer of the Third National Bank of Buffalo 35 years. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the above residence and will be conducted by Rev. Daniel A. Keys, pastor of the South Norfolk Christian Church and burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
