WOODBINE, Md. — Sarah Buchanan Forrest, 75, former president of Larchmont Garden 
Club and Federation of Garden Clubs of Norfolk, died Nov. 1, 1987.
Mrs. Forrest, a native of Norfolk, was active in local and national garden club 
groups and was a nationally accredited flower show judge. She was a member of 
Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs, and Larchmont United Methodist Church, 
where she was a member of Women's Society of Christian Services. Mrs. Forrest 
was past president of Virginia Council of Nationally Accredited Flower Show 
Judges and Tidewater Unit of National Association of Parliamentarians.
She was the widow of Edwin Booth Forrest.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Hope M. James Jr. of Milton, S.C.; a son, 
Edwin B. Forrest Jr. of Gaithersburg, Md.; a sister, Mary F. Babbitt of 
Frederick, Md.; and five grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Elmwood 
Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. W. Dabney Walters.
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
