NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary E. Fort, 51, of 2323 Tidewater Drive died Saturday in her 
home after a short illness.

A native of Goldsboro, N.C., she lived in Norfolk 34 years and worked at Ballard 
Fish & Oyster Co. She was a member of Garden of Prayer Church of God in Christ.

Surviving are her widower, Roy Fort; one son, Leroy Luther Fort; one daughter, 
Miss Vernez Fort; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Boone, all of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in 
Garden of Prayer Church of God in Christ Friday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. L.E. 
Willis, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
