Norfolk - Charles Lewis Fortson Jr. of 837 Bagnall Road, the husband of Mrs. 
Janice Fortson and a Norfolk native, did Friday at his home.

Fortson, a son of Marvin L. Fortson Sr., was employed by Ames & Webb 
Construction  Co. for six years.  He attended C. H. Mason Memorial Church of God 
in Christ.

Survivors also include his stepmother, Mrs. Thelma J. Fortson, and a daughter, 
Ms. Bridgette Fortson, both of Norfolk;  seven sisters, Mrs. Ruby Cartwright, 
Mrs. Sarah F. Whitaker, Mrs. Edna Blue, Ms. Sheron Riden, Ms. Janie M. Fortson, 
and Ms. Terrace Fortson of Norfolk, and Mrs. Vernell Fisher of Hagerstown, MD, 
and five brothers, James E. Fortson, Marvin L. Fortson Jr., Leroy Riden, 
Reginald L. Riden, and Tony Lee Fortson of Norfolk.

A funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Bowling Brook, 
by the Rev. Roy Fort.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral 
Home in charge.  The family will assemble at his home.
