She was a daughter of Tilson and Mrs. Eliza Burruss and the widow of Mayhue Foskey. A native of Scranton, N.C., she lived in Norfolk 49 years and was a member of Solid Rock Disciples Church, where she served on Usher Board 1 and in the Missionary Society. Surviving are one son, James Foskey of Norfolk; one daughter, Miss Lillie Mae Foskey of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Juletta Slade of Scranton, Mrs. Malissa Taylor of Pantego, N.C., and Mrs. Emma Credle of Hyde County, N.C.; and three brothers, Flynn Burruss of Belhaven, N.C., Walter Burruss of Scranton and Alonza Burruss of New York City. The body was taken to Morning Glory Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in Solid Rock Disciples Church Friday at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. Alexander Varner, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
