He was a native of Suffolk and had spent most of his life in this city, his residence being at 1717 Highland Avenue. Captain Foster, prominent for years in marine circles here, was a member of Progressive Harbor No. 9, Masters' Mates' and Pilots' Association. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Foster; one daughter, Mrs. George H. Hayes and one sister, Mrs. Albert Parr, of Maine.. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, at 11 o'clock Monday morning. **************************************************************************** Funeral services for Captain Foster, who died Saturday afternoon were conducted yesterday morning from St. Mary's Church, with Rev. P.P. Brennan officiating. Monsignor J.T. O'Farrell was present and the music was furnished by the choir of St. Mary's Orphan Asylum. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers were : Captain W.W. Mott, Captain J.L. Hudgins, Captain G.W. Lyon, Captain Charles Christian, C.T. Brooks, W.M. Newstead, O.S. Turner, James Kelly and C.H. Gillock.
