Mr. Foster was a native of Norfolk, and a resident of Pawley’s Island for the past several years. He was a veteran of World War No. 1, serving as a lieutenant in the 114th Infantry. He was a former member of Norfolk Post No. 67, American Legion, and the 29th Division Association. Besides his wife, Mrs. Bernice Conway Foster, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Custis Lee Foster, of Norfolk, and two sisters, Miss Page Foster, of New York City, and Miss Mary Custis Foster, of South Hadley, Mass. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, Norfolk, this (Monday) afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, with the Rev. T.J. Hawkins, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
