A native of Norfolk, she was the first president of the Norfolk Business and Professional Woman's Club and was instrumental in organizing it. She also was the first state president of that organization. She was the daughter of the late William Henry and Mrs. Emeline Walker Foster, and had resided at Virginian Beach for 15 years. A member of the First Methodist Church of Virginia Beach, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Rosalene Foster Simpson and a nephew, W. Clyde Simpson, both of Virginia Beach. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Methodist Church by the Rev. C.O. Kidd, pastor, and the Rev. Roy R. Jackson, associate pastor. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk. The body will be taken to the church from the Maestas Funeral Home one hour before the service.
