Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch February 15, 1910
Howard L. Foster, aged 31 years, died early today at the residence of his father, 
S. L. Foster, 274 Bute street, after a protracted illness. The deceased, while a 
native of Philadelphia, had lived for twenty years in Norfolk, where he was well 
and favorably known. He was, at the time of his death and had been for some time 
prior thereto, secretary of S. L. Foster and Sons, Inc.
The deceased is survived by his father and two sisters and two brothers - Mrs. J. 
T. Reed, of Middleboro, Ky.; Mrs. J. A. Mears of Norfolk; Curtis V. and Wilmer S. 
Foster, of Norfolk.
The funeral occurs from the residence Thursday at noon and will be conducted by 
Rev. Dr. Joseph Rennie, of the First Presbyterian Church.
