Virginian-Pilot May 31, 1966
NORFOLK — Lawrence Houtz Foster, 68, of 1411 Leigh St., retired employee of the 
city auditor's office, died Monday at 5 a.m. in a hospital.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a son of Curtis U. and Mrs. Harriet Houtz 
Foster. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Wright Foster; a son Lawrence Houtz Foster 
Jr.; and a brother, Byron L. Foster, all of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood 
Cemetery for a funeral service Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Andrew R. Bird Jr. 
of First Presbyterian Church. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
