The Virginia Gazette (Williamsburg, VA) February 22, 1984
Margaret Shipp Foster, the mother of Lewis A. Foster, Jr. of Williamsburg, died 
Feb. 15 at James River Convalescent Center. She was 86 and a resident of Newport 
News.
In addition to her son in Williamsburg, Mrs. Foster is survived by a daughter, 
Jean Foster Harris of Newport News, and six grandchildren.
A graveside service was held last Friday in Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk.
The family has requested that tokens of sympathy be expressed through 
contributions to Epworth United Methodist Church, Norfolk.
