John B. Foster, who died at her residence, 511 Main Street, Sunday afternoon, were conducted in Memorial Methodist Church yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock. The Rev. J.S. Gresham, the pastor, officiated. The attendance was large and the floral designs from the various organizations of the church and her friends bespoke the high esteem in which she was held in this section where she had lived all of her life. "Face to Face" was sung by W.B. Dougherty, a member of the choir of the church and the choir sang several selections. Her sons and nephews and close relatives served as active pallbearers. They were Bernard Herbert, Carroll Foster, Herbert Foster, Lipscomb Foster, Frank Foster, Carroll Foster, Jr., Shepherd Foster, Jr., P.M. Pritchard and Shepard Lowe Miller. The honorary pallbearers were J.J. Ottley, G.D. Williams, L. Berkley, B.B. Bott, Severn Webb, W.G. Morrisett, J.E. White, N.G. Wilson, Charles Sweetman, H.W. Keeling and Robert Davie. Burial was in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
