Her illness was of brief duration. The deceased was the daughter of the late Colonel Edward H. Herbert, of Level Green, Princess Anne County, and was in the 65th year of her age. At the close of the war between the north and the south she was married to Mr. Charles B. Foster, of Princess Anne County. She leaves three children--Mr. C.E. Foster, Miss May B. Foster and Mrs. H. Mallory Boush. She was a sister of Mr. A.T. Herbert, Mrs. McAlpine, Mrs. William W. Old, Mrs. H.C. Hoggard, Mrs. Norman Bell and Mrs. McNair. Mrs. Foster was a woman of culture and achieved quite a reputation in the school of instruction. The funeral will be announced later. ******************************************************************* The funeral of Mrs. Annie Herbert Foster was solemnized from St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Brambleton, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. The service was conducted by the Rev. Robert Gatewood. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
