Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, January 28, 1996
Ruth Holland Foster , 97, formerly of the 400 block of Burleigh Ave., died Jan. 
26, 1996.



Mrs. Foster , a native of Norfolk County, was the widow of Allen Lee Foster . 
She was a member of Freemason Street Baptist Church. She attended Hollins 
College and graduated from Columbia University with a teaching degree.



Survivors include a sister, VaDare H. Buck of Fairfax; a brother, Edwin T. 
Holland of Kilmarnock; and nieces and nephews.



A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. 
Donald J. Dunlap officiating. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk 
Chapel, is handling arrangements.
