The Norfolk Virginian Pilot November 27, 1954


Mrs. Bertha Bailey Foster, 83. Widow of Curtis Lee Foster, and daughter of the 
late Thomas Lee Bailey and Mrs. Sarah Frances Land Bailey, died yesterday at 8 
a.m., at a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Foster was a native of Princess Anne County, and had been a resident of 
Norfolk most of her life, residing for a number of years with a cousin, Mrs. 
J.B. Cassidy at 522 Virginia Avenue. She was a member of the First Methodist 
Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Page Foster, of New York, and a brother, George 
P. Bailey, of Norfolk. The body was removed to the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments.
