Virginian-Pilot December 23, 1951
Miss Rhoda Gibbs Fowler, daughter of the late James Stephen Fowler and Mrs. Laura 
Gibbs Fowler, died yesterday morning in Petersburg. She was a native of Livonia, 
N.Y., and had been a resident of Norfolk for 45 years, residing at 816 Stockley 
Gardens. Surviving are three nieces, Mrs. John Eberman, of Petersburg; Mrs. E. J. 
Newton, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Stanley Hall, of Demarest, N.J.
Services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 2 p.m., 
by the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church. Burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
