Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, March 3, 1993 
Mabel Ellis Fox of the 6300 block of Sedgefield Drive, a retired teacher, died
March 2, 1993, in Norfolk.

Mrs. Fox was born in Norfolk and was retired from the Norfolk School System
after more than 40 years. She was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church,
superintendent of the Sunday School, a life member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority
Inc., and a life member of the local and state Retired Teachers associations.
She was also a helping teacher. Mrs. Fox was the widow of Diester L. Fox, the
daughter of the late Irene W. Ellis and granddaughter of the late George and
Jannie Williams.

Survivors include a godson, Clusbie Eaddy Jr. of Norfolk; and a lifelong friend,
Evelyn A. Fenner of Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Second Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. Geoffrey V. Guns. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A Christian wake
service will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday and the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
will hold a service at 8 p.m. Thursday. The body will be placed in the church
Friday at 10 a.m. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
