He was retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility and was a native of Norfolk. He was a member of Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mamie Foy; three daughters, Maroncia Lumdsen and Diane Rodgers of Norfolk and Doris Rocher of New York City; two sisters, Louise Harrell of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Annie Duke of Norfolk; two brothers, George Foy of Norfolk and Clarence Foy of Orlando, Fla.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. James Edwards III in Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be taken to church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
