Augustus Foy, 73 of 110 F. 31st street, received a funeral service Sunday in
Graves Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Kinston, N C, he was the husband of Mrs. Dianna Jenkins Foy and a
son of George Foy and Mary Elizabeth Whitfield Foy. He died Aug. 11 in a local
hospital.

Surviving, besides his widow, are three sons, George Foy and James Foy, both of
Norfolk and Clarence Foy of New York; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Harrell of
Brooklyn and Mrs. Annie Dukes of Norfolk; three brothers, Charlie Foy of
Kinston, David Foy of Homestead, PA., and Sam Foy of Pittsburgh; and three
sisters, Mrs. Lillie Williams of New York and Mrs, Ida Parker and Mrs. Lydia
White of Kinston.

Corrected by grandson, Tyronne A. Foy for historical accuracy

The original obit has my grandfather listed as Augustus Foy Jr. There is no
Augustus Foy Sr.
