Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, June 9, 2001 
 NORFOLK - Mary C. Fraley of the 6300 block of Glenoak Drive passed quietly and
peacefully into eternal rest Thursday, June 7, 2001, in the comfort of home
surrounded by family. A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late
Rufus and Charity Uzzell Johnson. She was the widow of Earl Paige Fraley Sr.

Mrs. Fraley retired in 1982 from DePaul Medical Center after 34 years of service
as a laboratory technician. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church
and a member of the Women's Guild of the church. She was a graduate of Booker T.
Washington High School Class of 1938, a member of the Owls Club and the Women's
Auxiliary of the National Letter Carriers Association.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Dana M. Fraley; her son, Earl
Paige Fraley Jr. and wife, Lorraine; a sister, Sadie Johnson James. She will
also be sorely missed by her grandchildren, Aarian G. Fraley, Keith A. Fraley
and Khalid A. Fraley; and a host of very special nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a brother Edward Smith.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Catholic
Church, 1803 Columbia Ave. at Tidewater Drive, with the Rev. Father John Dorgan
officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 1 to 6
p.m. Sunday at Riddick Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the
funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and at other times at 6231 Sedgefield Drive.
