A native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., he lived in Norfolk 40 years. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 42 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and a grand knight of Knights of Columbus Council 367. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Stahly of Wenatchee, Wash. and Miss Rosemary Ann France of Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. Susanna Kotalik of the Panama Canal Zone, Mrs. Helen Kendra of Freeland, Pa., Mrs. Irma Emerick of Baltimore and Mrs. Martha Stavar of Towson, Md.; and two grandchildren. The body was taken to H.D.
