Virginian-Pilot February 8, 1941
(Under his photograph:) James Benjamin Francis, who died Thursday night at his 
residence, 824 Wilson road, and whose funeral will be conducted tomorrow at 2:30 
p.m. at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue. The Rev. 
Moultrie Guerry, of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery. A native of Richmond, Mr. Francis had resided in Norfolk 50 
years and, for many years, was connected with A. Wrenn & Son.
