Virginian-Pilot March 22, 1966
NORFOLK-Charles Henry Frankenberger, 87, of 105 S. Arden Circle, the husband of 
Mrs. Addie Cromwell Frankenberger and a son of Henry and Mrs. Wilhelmina Klinger 
Frankenberger, died in a hospital Sunday night.
A native of Baltimore, he lived here 65 years. He was a Lutheran.
After retiring from farming, he worked at Giant Open-Air Market 25 years.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John W. Corbell of 
Norfolk and Mrs. G. L. Bowden of Greensboro, N.C.; a son, Allen C. Frankenberger 
of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Clark of Baltimore; six grandchildren; and 
four great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Elmwood Cemetery for 
a funeral service Wednesday at 2 p.m. to be conducted by the Rev. Luther W. 
Strickler of First Lutheran Church. The family will assemble at 201 S. Blake 
Road.
