Rose, Mrs. ELLEN FRANKLIN, aged 74 years. The funeral will take place THIS (Wednesday) AFTERNOON at 5 o'clock from residence, No. 1 Shield Street. Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend. ******************************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Ellen Franklin, who died suddenly Monday night at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. J.H. Rose, took place at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the residence, No. 1 Shield Street, Rev. Dr. J.R. Howerton, of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. There was a large attendance and a beautiful floral display. The choir sang "I Would Not Live Alway," and "How Firm a Foundation." The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the Pallbearers: Jack C. White, William Hoffman, Jr., John T. Gaith, W.J. White, John Capps, Thomas Snow and J.E. Slade.
