Virginian Pilot September 9, 1988

James Franklin, 78, of the 3600 block of Courtney Ave., a retired maintenance 
worker, died Sept. 3, 1988, in a nursing home.
Mr. Franklin, a native of Beaufort County, N.C., was the widower of Christine 
Franklin.  He was a Baptist.
He is survived by a son, Nelson Jones of Norfolk; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. today in Twilight Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Rufus Jackson. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.  Family and 
friends will assemble at 9:45 a.m. today at the funeral home.
