Mrs. Frazier, a native of Wilmington NC had been a resident of Norfolk for 48 years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Song of Wilmington NC, and well liked by both the young and old alike. She was a member of St. Stevens Church while residing in Wilmington, but upon coming to Norfolk she became a member of St. John’s AME Zion Church on Bute street. She was a member of the Tents from childhood and had gone as high in the Tents to become a member of the “Chairholders.” She served as a worthy grand past senior matron for a number of years. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 4, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s AMEZ Church with the Rev. J. R. Johnson Jr. officiating. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Laura Lewis of Wilmington; four sons, Thomas, Mitchell, Fred and Oliver Frazier; three daughters, Miss Lucille Frazier, Mrs. Louisa Saunders, and Miss Virginia Frazier; 23 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
