Mrs. Freeman, a native of Branchville, Va., was the widow of Ben M. Freeman Sr. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She was also a member of United Order of Tents and the Buffalo of the World. Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Donald of Chesapeake; a stepdaughter, Mariah Rose of Stoney Creek, Va.; three sons, Robert L. Boyd of Portsmouth, Willie A. Britt of Baltimore and Ben N. Freeman Jr. of Norfolk; a sister, Annie Freeland of Brooklyn; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great- great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Rayfield Clay. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Friends may join the family at the residence. A wake service will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Graves Funeral Home.
