NORFOLK — Helen Cecil Freeman, 76, of 8939 Granby St., a native of Atlanta and 
the widow of Alvin Vincent Freeman Sr., died Sunday in her home.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America 
(Court 1212), Ocean View Democratic Club, Ocean View Senior Citizens Club and 
Chesapeake Bay Artists Association.
Survivors include a son, Alvin V. Freeman Jr. of Norfolk; a sister, Louise 
Kinsey of Washington; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery by the 
Rev. Richard Bagnell. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, has 
charge of arrangements. The family suggests that flowers be omitted. Memorial 
donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
