Wm. H. Freeman died at his residence in this city, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, aged 60 years. Capt. Freeman had been a great sufferer for many years. He was a widower and is survived by seven children, all grown. The funeral took place at St. Luke's Episcopal Church yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. A. S. Lloyd. The pallbearers were Messrs. F. S. Taylor, J. H. Watters, Robert Baylor, A. B. Douseberry, J. Y. S. Mitchell and Geo. W. Wilson. The burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Capt. Freeman was a Confederate soldier and a captain in the Sixty-sixth North Carolina Regiment. Additional Comments: He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery.
