Mr. Freeman was born in Norfolk. He had retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center after 25 years. He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Survivors include his wife, Lois Freeman; two daughters, Sarina A. Freeman and Marlene L. Daniels, both of Norfolk; his mother, Annie F. Batey of Chesapeake; two sisters, Maxine F. Gary of Philadelphia and Lori B. Freeman of New York; two stepsisters, Denise C. Casey of Georgia and Gloria M. Irving of Silver Spring, Md.; three stepbrothers, Ray L. Edwards and Bernard Edwards, both of Norfolk, and Dewey G. Edwards of Maryland; and three grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in First Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. J.L. White Sr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
