John Puga Freire — Funeral services for Mr. Freire, who died Thursday morning at 
the residence, 616 Market street, were held at 10 o'dock yesterday morning at St. 
Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. F. V. Bambrick officiating. The Rev. P. C. 
Blackburn was present in the sanctuary. Several selections were sung by the choir 
of St. Mary's Academy, with Mrs. Joseph Lex as organist. Burial was in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. The pallbearers were Antonio Fernandez, Jesus Diaz, Jose Concelo, Steven 
Nikitas, Policarpio Cabezal and Joaquin Mosquera.
