Freitas, died at 6:11 o'clock yesterday morning at the residence, 715 Shirley Avenue. For the past 70 years, Mrs. Freitas had been a resident of Norfolk and Norfolk County. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. Maria and Mrs. Percy H. Hill, of Norfolk and Mrs. Frank F. Reid, of New York City; two sons, Joseph D. Freitas, of Ocean View, and Louis J. Freitas, of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which Mrs. Freitas was a member, tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ***************************************************************************** Mrs. Mary Jane Freitas — Funeral services for Mrs. Freitas, widow of Joseph D. Freitas, whose death occurred Thursday at the residence, 715 Shirley avenue, were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m. yesterday with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas E. Waters, the pastor, officiating. The Rev. John C. Ryan and the Rev. Charles Comaskey were in the sanctuary. During the services, Mrs. Stark A. Sutton sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought," with Prof. Harvey Stevens as accompanist. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of red roses, baby’s-breath and ferns. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were W. B. Shafer, George W. Keller, N. B. Powell, Charles Wales, John T. Lambert, Lawrence Kelly, C. H. Frankenberger and H. D. Oliver.
