Norfolk Beacon, August 16, 1837
DIED - In Petersburg on Friday last, Mrs. Frances French, consort of Doct. 
[Rev.] John French, of this Borough. She was a most estimable lady, and a 
sincere professor of the Christian Religion. Throughout her life, which was 
spent entirely in our Borough, she had endeared herself to a large circle of 
friends, who will deeply lament her death. Her remains were brought from 
Petersburg on Sunday, and entered in the New Cemetery. She has left an 
affectionate husband, and several children to bewail her death.
