NORFOLK - J. Floyd French, 82, of 5510 Monroe Place, Apt. 282A, the husband of 
Mrs. Alice Wood French and a native of Norfolk, died Monday at 3:15 p.m. in his 
home.
He lived in Tidewater all of his life and was employed by American National 
Bank, Portsmouth, for many years. He later retired from the brokerage business 
in Suffolk.
He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Suffolk.
Besides his widow, survivors include a sister, Mrs. Margaret Newsome of 
Portsmouth.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery by the 
Rev. William D. Parrish. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, 
has charge.
