H. Frenger, 73, who died at a local hospital Thursday, will be held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home with interment in Elmwood Cemetery. The Rev. D. N. McLauchlin, D.D., pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, will officiate. During his active career, Mr. Frenger had worked in various departments on different newspapers and on two occasions edited his own publication. He was a proofreader on the Virginian- Pilot for a number of years until eye trouble forced his retirement. Later, he edited a Virginia Beach paper. Several years ago he was struck by a truck while crossing a street and never fully recovered from the accident. He died with no relatives surviving him, but many friends, especially in newspaper circles, will honor him. Mr. Frenger came to Norfolk about 25 years ago and had been employed here in various capacities since that time. Prior to his coming here, he had held responsible positions with a number of newspapers. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge No. 1, A.F. & A.M.
