Norfolk Ledger Dispatch February 18, 1959

Mrs. Myra Vaughan Friebus, 85, daughter of the late John Norfleet and Mrs. Annie 
Lawrence Vaughan, a native of Murfreesboro, N.C. and a resident of Norfolk for 
many years, died at 12:30 a.m. today at a Norfolk hospital.
Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Elliott West Shanklin, of  Cincinnati, 
Ohio; a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Werlich, of Washington, D.C.; one great 
grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Friday at 
noon by the Rev. Peyton R. Williams, rector of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal 
Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

FRIEBUS, MYRA VAUGHAN - At a local hospital, Wednesday, February 18th, 1959, at 
12:30 a.m., MYRA VAUGHAN FRIEBUS, daughter of the late John Norfleet, and Annie 
Lawrence Vaughan, in the 86th year of her age. Services at the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, FRIDAY at 12 o'clock NOON. Friends of 
the family are invited to attend. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
