VIRGINIA BEACH — Christopher Columbus Frizzell, 84, retired Bayside farmer, died 
Wednesday in a Norfolk hospital after an illness of six weeks. A native of 
Princess Anne County, he lived in this area all his life. He was the husband of 
Mrs. Ida Smith Frizzell and a son of George W. and Mrs. Jacamine Halstead 
Frizzell.
He was a member of Haywood Memorial Methodist Church.
Besides his widow, surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Howard D. Mast of Suffolk; a 
half-brother, Clarence G. Frizzell of Norfolk; and a granddaughter, Miss 
Christopher Mast of Suffolk.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Cox Funeral Home by the 
Rev. J. G. Long Jr. of Haygood Memorial Church and the Rev. Leon Smith, 
superintendent of the Virginia Methodist Children's Home, Richmond. Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
