Virginian-Pilot September 22, 1960
NORFOLK — Melvin VanBuren Frizzell, 77, son of George W. and Mrs. Jackmine 
Halstead Frizzell, died Wednesday at his home on Route 1, Lexington.
He was a native of Princess Anne County and had lived here until about three years 
ago, where he was a retired farmer. He was a member of Haygood Methodist Church.
Surviving are one brother, C. C. Frizzell of Bayside and one half-brother, 
Clarence G. Frizzell of Norfolk.
The body was taken to Cox Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted 
Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. C. A. McCormick, pastor of Haygood Methodist 
Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
