Virginian-Pilot November 17, 1967
NORFOLK - Roland L. Frizzell, 78, of 2315 Arkansas Ave., the husband of Mrs. 
Hattie West Frizzell and the son of John B. and Mrs. Sarah Lambert Frizzell, 
died in a Hampton hospital Wednesday.
A native of Princess Anne County, he lived in this area all his life. He was an 
Army veteran of World War I and retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two stepdaughters, Mrs. Virginia Ayers and 
Mrs. Lucy Davis; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Detrick and Mrs. Lola Craigg; a 
brother, William B. Frizzell; and a step-granddaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Cassidy, 
all of Norfolk; and a step-great-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Saturday at 1 
p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
