Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark April 28, 1914
Mrs. Alice J. Frost, a former resident of Berkley, and widow of Captain A.P. 
Frost, for many years collector at the ferries stations on this side of the 
river, died Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. 
A.A. Foreman, Nicholson, Pa.
Mrs. Frost was a native of Currituck, N.C., was 70 years old and lived until a 
few years ago when she went to her daughter.  
She is survived by three children, Mrs. B.O. Newberry of Berkley, Mrs. A.A. 
Foreman of Nicholson, Pa. and John Frost of Portsmouth.
The body will arrive here this morning and the funeral will be conducted at the 
residence of her daughter, Mrs. B.O. Newberry, Lee and Pearl streets, this 
afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, by Rev. W.R. Flannagan, pastor of the Berkley Avenue 
Baptist Church and burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

FROST --At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. A.A. Foreman, Nicholson, Pa., 
Sunday afternoon, April 26, 1914, at 4 o'clock, Mrs. ALICE J. FROST, widow of 
Captain A.P. Frost and daughter of the late John and Mrs. Adelia Humphries, aged 
70 years.
The remains will arrive here this morning and the funeral will take place at the 
residence of her daughter, Mrs. B.O. Newberry, Pearl and Lee streets, THIS 
(Tuesday) AFTERNOON at 4:30 o'clock.  Friends of the family respectfully invited 
to attend.  Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
