FULGHAM, in the 48th year of his age. Notice of funeral hereafter. Funeral services over the remains of the late Joseph H. Fulgham, member of the firm of Etheridge, Fulgham & Co., prominent commission merchants of this city, took place yesterday at 4 o'clock from his family residence, No. 95 Wood street, the obsequies being conducted by the Kev. J. M. G. Scott, of the Freemason street Baptist Church, assisted by * Dr. R. N. Sledd and Rev. Dr. Wm. E. Evans. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: D. C. Lassiter, J. G. Womble, E. M. Baum, Washington Taylor, L. Royster, M. Winston, B. G. Pollard and James R. Wright. The deceased was forty-eight years old and a native of Nansemond county. He has, however, resided in Norfolk twenty-four years, during that time endearing himself to all his acquaintances. A wife and seven children survive him. The deceased served gallantly in the lines of the Confederacy. He was a member of the following orders and societies: Pickett-Buchanan Camp, Confederate Veterans; Norfolk Lodge No. 1, A.F. and A.M., and a consistent member of the Freemason Street Baptist Church. The remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery and were attended by the Masonic Order and Pickett-Buchanan Camp. The Cotton Exchange was closed throughout the day, Mr. Fulgham being a prominent member of this body, and a delegation of the members attended the funeral.
